Meat substitutes aren’t automatically healthy. Meat substitutes sometimes contain a lot of salt and fat, and little protein. So concludes a study by Hanne Swaegers. She collected data about the composition of over 300 products for her Bachelor Thesis in Nutrition and Dietetics for the Hogeschool Gent.
